Description: Collection of paintings, drawings, prints and sculpture intended to illustrate the Welsh contribution to the visual arts of today.
Policy: Threefold aim; to demonstrate the richness of contemporary Welsh art, to develop an interest in art amongst those whose opportunities of seeing contemporary art are negligible and thirdly to allow young Welsh artists to see and study what is being produced by their countrymen.
Display Arrangement: Approximately 150 works exhibited in the galleries of the National Museum of Wales. The majority of works were oil paintings and watercolours.
